Ciao means hello and goodbye

In Italy, you never know if people are coming or leaving, if moments are beginning or ending, and history and recession and winding roads from the hills to the sea all run together, but there's a consolation - there will always be pasta on the table.

corners and continents

we find ourselves in the oddest places:
in a boat race in the middle of Rotterdam,
on road trips through Holland,
in the middle of a field between canals,
and traveling,
traveling,

English Christmas

This year, I was welcomed into my friend's family for Christmas, and I spent a week completely submerged in English culture. It was interesting, and completely odd, to be a part of a family that is a counterpart to my life thousands of miles away.

fire of the nations

January Blues

I took these pictures on the weekend that I spent at Heidi's school in January 2011. They are taken on a disposable camera.

World Traveler

These pictures are from the fall and winter of 2010, when I lived in England and traveled around Europe. These pictures are from England, Ireland, France, and Spain.

Prologue

I took these pictures in the months leading up to moving to England for a semester. Some are from hanging out with Iris and Heidi in Atlanta, some are from Heidi's school, some are from hanging out with Heather in the Georgia mountains, and some are of my roommate, Tamara.

These pictures are from Fall 2010.
